This is a nice ride if you want to hold a conversation without worrying about being run over at the same time. It’s mostly on cycle paths and the bits that are on roads are through leafy suburbs which at 10 o’clock on a Sunday morning are pretty sleepy.

Yesterday we waved farewell to the Surly and its intrepid rider Christof as they left Berlin in the direction of Zurich!

Although this was not a bike ride, this event is pretty bizarre and well worth a mention.

This week we cycled on a Thursday, which apart from feeling very smug, really just meant more traffic and maniac HGV drivers. But it was a good reminder of just how serene Sunday mornings really are.

Saturday was another budding spring day, I left the layers behind for the first time this year and rode with just my spares and a pocket full of dates.
